My name is Roman “Des” Ledesma, and I’m the proud founder of Mitten State Memorials — a family-owned, veteran-led business rooted in service, compassion, and care.
After dedicating much of my life to serving our country as a member of the U.S. Army, I felt called to continue that mission in a new way — by helping families preserve the dignity and beauty of their loved ones’ final resting places. What began as a personal act of remembrance has grown into a heartfelt commitment to others, grounded in respect, responsibility, and Michigan pride.
At Mitten State Memorials, we specialize in gravestone cleaning, flower refreshes, light landscaping, and care plans tailored to each family’s needs. Every site we visit is treated as sacred — because we understand how much it means to keep a loved one’s memory alive and well cared for.
